HF welding joins thermoplastics such as PVC, TPU or EVA using a high-frequency electromagnetic field. No adhesive, no external heat source. In medical technology, this produces dense, reproducible welded seams for blood bags, infusion bags, drainage bags and other sensitive medical devices.
Schirmacher develops project-specific HF welding machines for the manufacture of medical devices. The machine design, specifications and level of automation are specifically tailored to the materials used, the product in question and the intended manufacturing process.
Specific requirements relating to the production environment can also be taken into account at the design stage. These include, for example, surfaces that are easily accessible and simple to clean, extended machine feet, and design measures to minimise potential wear and tear.
